beaver island print shop museum

Originally built in 1850 by the followers of Michigan’s 1st and only “King” James Jesse Strang and used as a Print Shop for the Northern Michigan’s first newspaper as well as religious tracts and Strang’s Mormon doctrines. The now museum received a renovation in 2020 which included the addition of an 1800 square foot gallery, education, & preservation space.
